Kendall Knights - Sports For Kids Soccer Academy

OUR ORGANIZATION

The idea of getting kids involved in sports started in 1993 when Luis & Marcela Arango owners of Sports For Kids began by having their own two children involved in sports and they realized the need for a healthy environment to have children and parents enjoy sports while having fun, and learning them.

In 2002 we were able to develop and implement our dream with Sports For Kids. Today our organization holds 5 tournaments a year in two sports with over 500 participants, in Miami-Dade County, and also a summer camp in the Kendall area.

Sports for Kids, licensed and insured, is a structured organization that offers children from all ethnic and economic levels, a recreational basketball and soccer program at local public schools through the Dade Partners Program. Through this program Sports For Kids offers schools in the Kendall/Southwest Dade area incentives, such as in-kind contributions, or monetary donations for the school’s discretional use. Scholarships for either soccer or basketball for students with perfect attendance, every grading period, for each grade level is one such incentive.

All of our goals have been made possible for the last few years thanks to the support of our parents and children, that have been with us through out the years.
